Shop Miss happ online!

My little Etsy store has been going for just 2 years and sales have climbed steadily which is exciting and very encouraging!

I started off with only my Rockabilly and pin up style clothing, but eventually branched out into hair accessories, bandanas, jewellery and now I make rocking printed handbags too! I also do a small collection of cushions and coffee table coasters for the home, so my little Etsy store really has almost EVERYTHING for a Rockabilly girl!

I still have a very small set up with me making the jewellery and accessories, and my (one) seamstress sewing up all the clothing & hats that I myself design. It got to the stage where I literally couldn't keep up with the demand, so now I also have an assistant who works with us 3 days a week to help streamline everything.

Because I am a little self-funded, self run business, all my items are either one-offs, or with the clothing, are usually 1 of sometimes 5 or 6 items which makes the range a very unique designer range indeed.

Sometimes I am also able to make kustom pieces too which is always exciting and very gratifying. We have done a few wedding hair accessories as well as cute shoe bow clips for a bride and her bridal party..to Rockabilly dresses and birthday presents for deserving girlfriends!

I try and do as many markets and shows that are specifically related to what Miss Happ is all about, with the most recent one being Horrorfest which was so much fun. I even got to dress up on the final closing night of the festival when we attended an Audience participation Rocky horror Movie screening. My BEST!

Miss Happ's Summer 2013 Photoshoot

We recently did a collaborative shoot with Collin from Collin Albertus Photography and Miss Happ clothing & accessories. All clothing used is from our new Miss Happ summer 2013 range (in stores from October).

We were lucky enough to be able to use some of the awesome Zoom shoes from their Summer 2012/13 range as well as some amazing designer sunglasses from local store The Oculus. The looks were complete and oh so pin-up! The girls really worked well together - we decided to go with two red heads for a change and it looked great - it also helps to have a real old skool vintage Hudson Hornet as a prop - a fab car that had a killer sound!

We decided to do a location shoot, and shot on a little road near Melmesbury. We loved the way the photos had that kinda "Thelma & Louise" look..two gals going on a road trip! The weather started off ok, after watching the forecast closely for days it was now or never, and I must say the girls braved it right to the end when it started drizzling and got quite icy cold! Great sports they were!

The shoot was a two fold one, with pics also being shot for the "Pin up of the month" for local hot rod magazine, SA Hotrods. One great pic has now been selected, and will be in the NOVEMBER issue of the mag which is exciting.
