Miss Happ does the V&A Accessories Market

To those that popped in to see us this past Sat at the V&A Accessories market we just want to say a big thank you!

The venue was a stunning old converted warehouse and was a great location. The Accessories market was upstairs, with the every day food market downstairs. Because it was only the accessories market, I took a flavour of what we currently have as part of our Miss Happ range from bandanas and chiffon scarves to hair clips, necklaces, our handbags, knitted fingerless gloves and our cats eye sunglasses!

We will be at this market once a month till December, so keep a look out for dates.

Till next time!

Cape Town's first Rockabilly festival

Popcorn, candy floss, hot dogs and coke floats. Pre-60’s cars, custom cafĂ© racer style bike and V8′s. Bike Polo and Derby girls, bowling on the oldest bowling alley and of course Miss Happ was there!

On the 20th of April we joined in the fun at the FIRST Dusty Rebels and the Bombshells Rockabilly Festival held at the German Club (Cape Town) an old skool venue perfect for the whole event!

This event was a mini version of sorts, and was really a lead up to the bigger festival they are planning to have at the end of the year. It was fantastic to see everybody all dressed up and even more exciting to see the number of girls wearing Miss Happ. We even had one little young fan insist on her mum buying her a Miss Happ hair flower with a mini dice in the middle, and she loved it!

Miss Happ traded from 4pm until sunset, and had a great time! We were lucky enough to get a little glimpse of the lovely ladies from Les blondes perform in the afternoon - the looked fab in the Miss Happ fly girl hats and really embodied the whole 40's war time style so well.

Later on in the evening after we had packed up we grabbed a bite to eat from the El burro food truck who serve the most delicious Mexican food in Cape Town. That was followed on by a little booty shaking as we got to enjoy the rockin' tunes of Them Tornados.

We had a ball and look forward to the next event!

Till next time,
MH xx

Miss Happ at the City Bowl Market, CT

This past Sat I hauled my butt off to join the other stall holders at the City Bowl Fashion Market in Hope Street. The market is made up of two section - the food (downstairs) and fashion (upstairs)

This was only the second fashion market - the first one was last month. The fashion market is only held on the LAST SAT of each month, although I think they are going to be looking at having it every Sat..

Unfortunately for us we were not in the main hall, but were in a teeny side room off the main hall - never a great position of anybody, but we made the most of it. I had taken along three large posters which are always very eye catching and hung a few items around my area on the wall which helped. I also dressed Gladys, my mannequin in one of our new little cherry aprons so she really stood out!

I shared my stand with a friend who runs her own business called ANONAMISS BEAUTY EMPORIUM. Our products work well together and we definitely made a statement with our bold colour, bright hair and unique product offering!

Till next time!
