Over the years music and fashion has changed but one thing that has never totally disappeared is our love and fascination for the 50’s and it’s lifestyle. Today, Miss Happ takes all these classic influences, mixes them & brings you a range of clothing for the girl with a desire to be an individual.
Miss Happ is a local, original, South African produced and designed clothing and accessory range. Find us at our retail store, Retrospective, 215 Long Street, Cape Town
I love Amy Winehouse's music, but I don' care much for her personal life, although it seems she is on the mend these days. Amy has collaborated with the UK fashion label Fred Perry to bring a classic range of clothing to us with a little bit of the retro look..I love it - especially the touches of pink!
I spoilt myself for the first time in ages, and splurged on a whole bunch of magazines, only to open the December issue of Glamour to a full 8 page ROCKABILLY fashion spread...well, at least it was a fashion take on Rockabilly....what do u think? I loved the hair and make-up, liquid black liner with orangy/red lips...
ok, so we all like a little something "extra", so, for the month of December when you purchase a pretty Miss Happ swing dress you will receive a FREE Miss Happ limited edition shopper! Choose from cute hearts or classic black and white check with various appliques - which ever takes your fancy!
Am feeling very inspired of late by the whole tiki vibe. I think it started when I watched "The Bachelor in Paradise" and movie made in the early 60's...the one scene is set in the most awesome tiki bar!
I have found the most inspiring fabrics too which got the creative juices flowing once again..cannot wait to see my first Miss Happ dress in one of these beautiful prints!
