Garage Cover Shoot ala Bridget Bardot

Yesterday myself and the sweet Miss Gabbi Katz from AnonaMiss Beauty Emporium made the drive to Stellenbosch to work on the next cover shoot for GARAGE MAGAZINE (www.facebook.com/garagemag)
After the super cool last shoot that appeared in the mag (issue 1) we were very excited to be invited back to join in the chaos and mayhem that is all part of doing a shoot for a magazine.
I was the stylist/wardrobe Missey for the day and Gabbi did a fabulous job on the fantastic 50', Bridget Bardot inspired hair and make up. Our model, the sexy Diana looked oh so vintage with her perfect cat's eye make up and AMAZING lashes from Ooh La Lash (avail from www.anonamiss.co.za)...oh, and her pouty red lips were to die for too!

I managed to source some fab little garments for the shoot - some available from our local stores, some collected from stores during my travels overseas while others were vintage finds from great markets like portobello in london. All the killer heels used on the shoot were from the ZOOM Summer collection - not yet available in stores, but coming soon and TO DIE FOR. Check out their latest collection on:www.zoomfootwear.co.za And of course all hair accessories and earrings were from the Miss Happ range ;-)

A great way to spend the afternoon, one HOT HOT ROD, awesome peeps, quick shooting, and a cutie pie model..what better way to end the day!

Till next time!

Photoshoots, pinup girls & hot rods

So last week Wed the Miss Happ girls bundled themselves up and braved the winter chill to join the folks from Garage Magazine - a super cool new hot rod and custom culture magazine that's going to be launched in SA in August.

With our suitcases bursting at their seams with fab brightly colour Miss Happ swing dresses in an array of colours and patterns and hair clips and a whole bunch of other girly goodies we proceeded to style up our super cute and oh so seeexy model, Miss Sarah Jane - yes! in the corner of a (working) garage called  Old Mill! We worked with Mishca from AnonaMiss Beauty emporium who did the awesome pinup hair and make-up for our model.

Looking at the pics now Miss Samantha Jane really was the one that stood out - her with her blond hair and the rest of us being redheads :-) !!

We can't show you too many pics from the shoot as they haven't been published yet but here are some of the behind-the-scene ones. What I can tell you is that the car looked HOT and the pinup girl looked oh so 50's!  We had to much fun and yes, even though we were like walking zombies by the time we wrapped up at 11pm it's going to be so worth it!

Till next time!
